"Life is Unfair" By Aditya Singh
Life is unfair, and it always will be, the sooner we accept this truth, the better it is for us. From school days, we notice the imbalance some students arrive in luxury cars, spend freely in the canteen, or easily afford school picnics. Others, tall and charming, naturally attract attention, while some excel in sports or academics. Meanwhile, many sit quietly on the sidelines, feeling invisible. When we step into college, the same pattern continues privilege, talent, and luck rarely seem distributed equally. And later, in the workplace, it becomes even clearer some are favored by their bosses while others are overlooked, some are appreciated for the smallest tasks while others go unrecognized despite hard and valuable work. Some are promoted every year, while a few remain in the same position for a long time. Life, at its core, has never been a level playing field.
Yet, within this apparent unfairness lies an opportunity. Instead of constantly comparing ourselves with others, the real breakthrough comes when we recognize our own unique capabilities and sharpen them. Take examples around us someone who may not have been the topper in class might later build a thriving business because of creativity or persistence; another who wasn’t socially popular might develop strong leadership skills and rise in their career. Even in relationships, some are lucky to find the right partner early, while others take longer, but often discover deeper bonds later in life. The key is not to complain about what life hasn’t given us, but to maximize what we do have. By embracing the truth that life will always be unequal, and focusing instead on developing our own rare strengths, we move toward better jobs, stronger relationships, and meaningful success.
